Ecotherapy with Hollie

Where land and animals become part of the healing.

When talk therapy isn’t enough… step outside the walls.

At The Wilde (near Braidwood, NSW), the horses, the trees and the creek become part of the healing field.

I know what it’s like to feel trapped; inside your own head, inside four walls, inside patterns that just won’t shift.

You don’t need another therapist who just “talks it through.” You need a space where your nervous system can settle, where your body is part of the healing and where you can experience safe, real connection again.

That’s what Ecotherapy offers. A way back into connection; with yourself, with others, with the living world, so you can begin to move beyond old wounds, overwhelm and disempowerment.

My promise is to meet you in that place of feeling cut off and gently hold the path back to belonging.

Why Choose Ecotherapy at The Wilde...

Therapy, held by the land.

Breathe with the trees, walk the creek beds - let your nervous system soften in rhythm with the natural world.

 Horses as honest mirrors.

The Herd co-regulates and reflects without judgement supporting safety, insight and connection in real time.

Nature as the healing container.

Working psychodynamically and somatically, within a wider field of sky, soil, body and belonging.

When talking isn’t enough.

Sometimes the shifts come not through words, but through presence; being seen, felt and held by more-than-human kin.

Sessions on Land, $190 p/h

Each 60-minute session is held at The Wilde (Walbunja Country); one-on-one, grounded and deeply attuned to you.

Ecotherapy is for women who...

  • Carry wounds, grief or disempowerment and want to reclaim your agency.

  • Don’t enjoy sitting indoors and talking… needing therapy that moves, breathes and expands.

  • Feel isolated or adrift and want to experience safe bond with therapist, animals and land.

  • Recognise self in cycles of burnout or anxiety and are ready for a reset.

Maybe you’ve tried therapy in an office before. It helped a little, but…

  • The office felt confining.

  • Talking didn’t shift the patterns.

  • Your body still holds the old patterns, trauma or grief.

  • You feel isolated, out of rhythm, or disempowered… like something vital is missing.

Sometimes words aren’t enough. Sometimes healing needs to happen in kinship with people, with animals and with the land itself.

What women say...

“Thank you for today’s beautiful session. My sister and I have been talking all the way home about this new way of knowing each other. Forever grateful!

~ E

“This was by far the best team-building day we’ve had in all the years of company events. Our office has been through a lot this year, and Hollie was able to weave in some points of change that will last as we move forward into next year’s planning. I’ll be telling everyone I know to come to The Wilde!”

~ D

“I wanted to reach out and say thank you for so generously and warmly hosting us at the Wilde last weekend. It was really exactly what I needed, and I very much felt all the pieces of myself being called back to one place and one state, which was really refreshing. The program you put together for us was just right, as was the setting.”

Meet Your Therapist

I’m Hollie Wildëthorn; psychotherapist, circle holder, ritualist and rhythm weaver. For over 20 years, I’ve been supporting women to reconnect with themselves in ways that are deep, real and sustainable.

As a child, I was always drawn to horses. They were friends and confidants in a world that often overwhelmed me. Decades later, my autism diagnosis made sense of that bond… the deep need to be with beings who communicate beyond words and invite me to do the same.

Living with my Herd here on the land, I’ve come to know each one as an individual with distinct gifts. Their ability to mirror emotion and hold space without judgement continually astonishes me. Again and again, I’ve seen my horses create breakthroughs where words fall short.

My own path was also shaped by chronic illness. Healing didn’t come through willpower, but through relationship with land, animals and the rhythms of nature.

Ecotherapy brings these threads together; horses, lived experience of autism, outdoor healing and clinical training into a therapeutic space where you, too, can find belonging, regulation and renewal.

This is for you if...

  • You live with anxiety, trauma, grief or disempowerment and want therapy that includes nervous-system regulation, relational healing and connection with nature.

and / or

  • It’s also for groups, families, or teams who want to build trust, deepen bonds and reconnect in a meaningful way, supported by land and horses.

Not for you if...

  • You’re looking for horse riding or animal handling. This is therapeutic work, not training or equine activities.

  • You prefer structured, indoor-only talk therapy (see Online Therapy instead).

  • You want a familiar model. This isn’t like any corporate workshop, family therapy or team-building you’ve done before. It’s something deeper, more embodied and held by land, horses, and connection.
