Coach Hollie Wildëthorn

Hollie is a double black belt, natural-movement coach and Clinical Counsellor with a focus on Compassionate Training to develop Functional, Optimal, Resilient, Courageous, Epic Humans (C-FORCE).

She is an off-grid dwelling, constantly moving, luna-loving, wellness obsessed mother of two formerly home-educated children, living at the foot of the Budawangs in south eastern New South Wales, Australia.

Hollie started Martial Arts in 1985, experiencing first hand the damaging results of old skool “no-pain-no-gain” teaching practices. Decades later and a lifetime of repatterning (in mind and body) she founded Motion Ninja Academy as a focus point for Wellness and Optimal Movement. MNA sheds the unhealthy authoritarian ways of before, to offer a new kind of curriculum.

This work is primarily led by the awareness that all people require safe spaces where autonomy and mutual respect are the foundations of compassionate mentorship

Hollie knows what it’s like to live far from the best resources while supporting kids to grow into C-FORCE humans. She has spent hundreds of late nights on rural roads, driving her hip hop dancing son to training (the studio is an hour and a half from home) and to competitions across the State. As a child herself, Hollie spent hours in the car travelling to dojos for advanced training (day and night) all over Gippsland, Victoria.

Movement skill sessions at The Wilde are therefore dedicated to a simpler, slow life where you are able to immerse into the wholeness of embodiment and emplacement, taking away the skills to have more functional movement in your everyday life.

Samantha Hawker has been part of the Local Food Movement in this region for over a decade, with particular interest in indigenous land management, permaculture and food sovereignty.

She believes in creating food that nourishes the body and soul, while nourishing the Earth and our rediscovery of the deep reciprocal connections that once were. Sam has a relationship with most producers who provide our food (including from The Wilde gardens).

Sam is our Retreat Caterer, and can meet most dietary requirements. She’s especially interested in educating people how to be in realationship with food, via production, season and story.
