Collection on display
If you were to pass by our little village of Braidwood in the south east of New South Wales, Australia, and if you were to pop your head into the local library here, you could be in for quite a treat...
You see, the Braidwood Library has a special cabinet with lights and locks, where it displays collections of local people for the oohing and aahing of passers-by. And in the collection cabinet right now, is my Tarot Collection!
Of all the things to display in a tiny town library, Tarot is probably not the most popular, yet Kath the librarian tells me she thinks it could be the most interesting collection they've had there, and the locals have all been very curious. You see, Braidwood is a sweet little town full of artists and writers and environmentalists and generally alternative types of people. Perhaps then, this is the best place possible for a collection of Tarot to be displayed.
The cabinet looks so pretty with all the colourful cards and the lights, that I really wanted to share it with the world, so that if you can't make it to the little sweet town of Braidwood, you may view the collection right here.
" Tarot Collection of Hollie B. "" Reader and Collector of Tarot… "
" Hollie learned to read Tarot from Geur Fokstuen in 2004, and has been reading professionally (upon Geir's request) since 2007. "" She has a particular interest in decks that portray the most common symbolic elements of traditional Tarpt, especially when the artist is able to "beautify" the imagery at the same time. "
" Many people are not aware that the Tarot is made up of 2 parts, the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana tell a story, like a journey from beginning to end. The Minor Arcana are similar to a deck of playing cards, with four suits and royal heads : These give the minute aspects and details of the story told by the Major Arcana. "
" Every Reader has her/his own way. If you would like to have Hollie read for you, find her at the Institute for Self Crafting on Facebook. "
