At my Red Tent Open Day on the weekend, I was asked which books had had a significant effect on my development and in the work I do with women. At the time I listed a few that jumped out in my mind in relation to the energy of the women in the circle. Yet as I sat in reflection afterward I thought of many others that have been fundamental in the development of my work and writing.
So I’ve decided to share a short list of books that have had a deep impact on shaping my women’s work. I tried to stop at 13 but there were a few others that I just had to include. I could very well have added at least another ten after that!
Therefore it is by no means a complete list, and also doesn’t include anything from the parenting, house wife, health, seasonal, anarchism/activism, psychology, fairy tales, goddess specific, witchcraft/spells/magick or gardening/environmental world of books which have also shaped and inspired the way I work with women (they could all be posts for another day).
Also, I couldn’t decide on an order of awesomeness so they are listed in no particular order.
I invite you to share the books and films that have developed your woman essence also, in the comments below.
